Inclusion is at the forefront
‘Hearts and Minds’ form the backbone of everything we do at Impact and Inclusion is at the forefront. This year our trust has embarked on our Inclusion Strategy, in conjunction with all our family of Academies, additional Trust Partners (friends) and Whole-Education SEND national network – comprising over 300 other Academies and Trusts in the UK.

Our First Cluster Group
Our SENCos and key leaders have been hard at work, attending our first Cluster Group meeting and then the subsequent Action-Planning meeting through the Whole Education Network. Each Academy has begun to evaluate its provision through an online benchmarking tool called Evaluate My School (EMS), which allows them to effectively evaluate SEND provision in each Academy and then create an associated development plan.
This tool not only allows for easy strategy creation but also connects to other MATs and Academies that have similar/opposing strengths/areas for development in which to collaborate.
Whole Education SEND places collaboration and the mobilisation of local knowledge at the heart of improving SEND provision by embedding an effective model for peer review over the course of three years.
Throughout the project, Whole Education SEND uses the Evaluate My School platform to support school leaders and SENCos to effectively self-evaluate provision in their schools across 7 key areas below:
