National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)
National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are voluntary qualifications designed to promote great teaching and great school leadership. They provide teachers and leaders with the training, support, and guidance they need to develop expertise in school leadership and specialist areas of teaching practice.
The Halifax Academy, in partnership with Outstanding Leaders Partnership (OLP), are delighted to offer a range of high quality accredited school leadership qualifications across our Multi Academy Trust. OLP, managed by Best Practice Network, is approved by the Department for Education to deliver qualifications, training thousands of UK school leaders in partnership with 50 teaching schools.

Fully-funded NPQs Available
Fully-funded NPQs are still available but make sure to apply by 16th January to secure your place!
Outstanding Leaders Partnership, supported by Best Practice Network, have extended their Spring 2022 NPQ application deadline to the 16th January 2022.
Free places, entirely funded by scholarships from the Department for Education, are still available for all of the
Starting in February with an online induction course, they will be delivered on a part-time basis and designed to fit into busy teacher timetables. Specialist NPQs take 12 months to complete and the Leadership NPQs are completed over an 18 month period.
Outstanding Leaders Partnership is a school-led network of MATs, TSHs and dioceses and is recognised as the leading NPQ provider. They will be hosting NPQ groups throughout England and are ready to deliver NPQ groups entirely online in the event of further Covid restrictions.
