Newsome High School is an 11 – 16 comprehensive school set in fabulous countryside in south Huddersfield. We have around 600 pupils on roll and over 60 amazing teaching and support staff. We are unique in the fact that we also have two specialist provisions – Hearing Impaired and Physically Impaired. These provisions allow students to be in mainstream lessons which enriches our educational offer beyond belief. In addition to our provisions, we benefit from our small size and use this to our full advantage – everyone is an individual who is known and cared for and not a number!
We create a safe, happy and caring environment and are seriously committed to our school values – Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Aspiration. All staff work around a very clear culture where we offer a caring and family feel whilst upholding high standards at all times.
Joining Impact Education Multi Academy Trust will strengthen the provision for our students and open up even more opportunities for our students and our staff to reach their full potential.
